Compassion New England

Compassion New England (CNE) is a charitable giving organization of Bethany Community Church

CNE was founded during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.  Bethany Community Church felt the call to help and support the people of the Gulf Coast.  They did this by sending tractor trailer trucks full of supplies to the Gulf Coast.  From this one event of compassion, they began to see the need all around them and decided that there must be something that they can do to help the people in their own community.

CNE Today

We operate a food bank and two thrift stores and sharing centers. We serve and provide for families in need in Worcester County and Norfolk County. Since 2006 Compassion New England has provided the following: Church Benevolent Giving of over  $30,000.00 in the form of:   Gas, Electricity, Oil (heat), Food, Education and Transportation.

The need grows more and more daily.

CNE Ministries:

The Blessing Barn and Blessing House:

Provides low cost clothing, shoes, household goods,  and furniture to all.  Provides free clothing, shoes, household goods, and furniture to those who demonstrate need in our community.  We use the proceeds from our sales to send packages of clothing, shoes, and other necessities to needy families in our world wide community.  We are partners with Visiting Nurses Association and Healthy Families Inc. Together we have assisted over 100 families with infant and toddler needs.

Food Pantry:

Provides free food to those with demonstrated need in our community.

Junior Compassion New England:

Provides children with the opportunity to learn about giving back to the community and lending a helping hand.

Seeds for Success:

Provides a job networking service and training in skills that will help people as they search for jobs and begin working in their field.

Compassion New England stands ready to respond to local and national crisis at the Speed of Life by sending people and resources to the people who need it the most. Compassion New England looks up to serve and not down to save.
