Lead Pastor: Phil McCutchen
Phil & Cheri McCutchen pastored in Westfield, MA and Jacksonville, FL before coming to BCC in 1988. They began their ministry at a small building in Milford with 7 people. Phil loves to teach the word of God in a way that makes it relevant and practical. His passion is to see people take the next step in reaching their God given potential.
Phil and Cheri are the parents of Jason, Christi, & Elyse and the grandparents of Braiden & Alyiah.
Associate Pastors: Tim & Sybil Peterson
Pastor Tim & Sybil are the newest addition to the Bethany pastoral staff. They came to us in 2010 from Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND where Tim was the Fine Arts Chair Person and Sybil was the Academic Success Center coordinator.
Tim & Sybil oversee adult ministries at BCC and provide pastoral leadership and direction to the BCC Life Group leaders. In addition they function as administrative pastors alongside Pastor Phil & Cheri.
You will hear the worshipful sounds of Tim’s keyboard work at most weekend services. They also regularly bless the congregation with their excellent vocal abilities. The Peterson’s come originally from Montana but have a burning passion to see spiritual renewal impact the Northeast.
Associate Pastor: Steve Gonzalez
Steve serves as a general associate who comes alongside the rest of the staff to serve the congregation and the community as needed. He assists in leading the Sunday service as well as conducting weddings, funerals, and filling in for pastor Phil. Steve and his wife Julie lead a dynamic small group.
Steve and Julie are the proud parents of 4 beautiful daughters; Carly, Bella, Julia and Eliza. Steve is employed with National Grid while still passionately serving the Bethany Community Family.
Student Ministries Director: Cheri McCutchen
Cheri is a tremendous visionary and a gifted leader. She has founded the Bethany Christian Academy a K-12 school where “Loving & Learning” go hand-in-hand. She administrates a dynamic youth ministry team that has seen the youth ministry at Bethany literally explode in growth.
Cheri’s leadership is not just confined to student ministries. She also directs major musical/drama productions, has written and teaches a parenting curriculum, directs the annual BCC ladies retreat, is a great personal mentor and more.
Youth Pastor and Worship/Arts Director: Jason McCutchen
Jason is pastor of our Jr. High and High School age students at BCC. Anything that is happening with youth from the Wednesday night Paradigm service to small groups to youth missions trips are under his direction. Jason directs the music portion of the weekend services and creates most videos that you will see during a weekend service.
Jason is a graduate of the Rockford Masters Commission.
Director of Community Care: Brandie Lee Gaudet
Brandie Lee Gaudet directs the compassionate outreach ministries and coordinates emergency services for BCC adherents. Brandie’s primary focus is the Compassion New England (CNE) ministry of BCC which operates the Blessing Barn thrift store and sharing center, the Blessing House boutique and sharing center, the food bank, meals that minister, the job search team and all forms of benevolence. In addition to these many concerns she also serves the Lead Pastor and office staff as an administrative assistant.
Brandie is a graduate of Bristol Community College and is working towards another degree in Psychology at Regent University.
Director of Facilities: Daniel Morais
Besides being the athletic director for Bethany Christian Academy, Dan also manages the day-to-day operations of our facility and property. Dan is the guy who makes sure the building is clean and ready for the many events that keep our facility and grounds humming seven days a week. Dan also directs most of our repair and improvement projects here at BCC.
Most importantly Dan is the husband of Christi who is manager of the Blessing House boutique and sharing center and assistant director of CNE. Together Dan and Christi facilitate a thriving Jr. High Small Group ministry on Thursday nights.
