Core Beliefs
At BCC we believe that the Bible is reliable and is God’s play book for our earthly lives. We believe that Christ has called us to follow him in alleviating human suffering with practical service while not neglecting the belief that all of us need a personal relationship with God. We assert that Jesus came to earth to both model love to others and to reconnect us with the heavenly father.
- God loves you and created you with a purpose
- God is available to everyone who calls on him
- The death and resurrection of Christ made forgiveness and eternal life accessible
- The Bible is God’s instruction book for life
- Jesus shows us what God is like
- The Holy Spirit is available as a means of empowerment and comfort
- God created everything for our good and his exaltation
- God created the church so he could have a family
- None of us have earned God’s favor, we all need grace
- Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God
- God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice and he can bring good out of every evil event
- Heaven and hell really do exist; everyone can go to heaven
- The church is here to reach the un-churched and minister to its members
- Jesus is coming again to restore world order
